While Spurs fight to finish fourth Arsenal are still in the race for the top spot. They are currently third with 71 points. They trail second place Manchester United by two points, and league leaders Chelsea by three. But both Arsenal and Chelsea have game in hand over United and this could prove meaningful for both clubs. Chelsea must stumble in order to give Manchester United a chance at the top spot again. And since United have just four games left in their season, one of those being a massive encounter with cross-town rivals Manchester City, there is every possibility of United dropping points. Arsenal, therefore, have much to gain if they can get full points from their remaining matches. This is very doable for the Gunners. After Tottenham on Wednesday they have Wigan (away), Manchester City (home), Blackburn Rovers (away) and finally Fulham (home). The league is not yet beyond Arsenal’s grasp.
